Maria DiCicco and Kathleen Fitzpatrick have been in business together since 1997. Both Maria and Kathleen are Philadelphians, a cosmopolitan city which experienced a restaurant renaissance a few years ago. Fertile ground for two "foodies". So it was not difficult to make the transition from their computer training and consulting company, Screenplay, to the world of high quality extra virgin olive oil.

Maria and Kathleen opened the Olive Oil Shoppe knowing there are many others who appreciate fine, artesian quality, extra virgin olive oil as much as they do. Their olive oils are primarily American-made, from olive growers in California. Their Ariston Olive Oil line is a "world class" gourmet olive oil from the Kalamata region of Greece.
